Fall 2024 (and Don't Forget Late Summer)

Summer is ending as my son is back to school and I am looking forward to an action-packed next few months.

My summer concluded with The Curated Fridge's Summer 2024 Altered Memories exhibition at Candela Books + Gallery during Unbound! 13 in July and August (exhibited image above). Thank you to juror Dominique Muñoz for selecting one of my images, to Yorgos Efthymiadis for creating such a fun platform for showing photographs, and to Candela Gallery for hosting.

I am thrilled to report that I am on Photolucida's Critical Mass Top 200 list again this year! I submitted the series I am currently concentrating on called Undertow. Two of the works from this series were juried into the (s)Light of Hand 2024 exhibition at The Photographer's Eye Gallery here in San Diego next month. This exhibition was juried by Michael Kirchoff from Analog Forever Magazine. Before that show opens, I am preparing for portfolio reviews through the Los Angeles Center of Photography next month. Finally, in October I will attend The Elf School of The Arts in North Carolina for a two-week artist residency. I'll update you on the work I create during my residency one it's complete.

The Curated Fridge’s Altered Memories at Candela Books + Gallery

The Curated Fridge was red for this edition!

What Once Was Dune, 2024 was exhibited as a 4 x 6 inch print on The Curated Fridge’s Altered Memories exhibition at Candela Books + Gallery during Unbound! 13 from July 5th to August 3rd, 2024.

Ten images from my Undertow project were included in the Crtical Mass

Critical Mass is an annual online program that makes connections within the photography community. Photographers at any level, from anywhere in the world, submit a portfolio of 10 images. Through a pre-screening process, the field is narrowed to a group of 200 finalists who go on to have their work viewed and voted on by over 150 esteemed international photography professionals. From the Finalist group, the TOP 50 are named and a series of awards are given.
